Mission Trip 2025 Day Four

Today, we woke up and ate breakfast. We then had our independent devotional time. For our service today, we went to Wheeler Men’s Shelter. To start, we made many peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and helped them sort food. Then we had our lunch break. After that, we helped serve food for the men living there. Once everyone had left, we cleaned up. To end the service time, we got a tour of the shelter. Next, we were able to shower and have dinner. For our activity we went to a church service. We then had ice cream and our gathering. At the end of the day, we had our church group time.

Hey, it’s Julia! My favorite part of the day was when I was able to go and serve unhoused people lunch and see how thankful they were. I enjoyed making lunches for the unhoused people as well because I would know that they would have something to eat. 

Hey it’s Violet. Today we went to Wheeler Men’s Shelter. To start our morning we made peanut butter and jelly sandwiches that we later used to pack lunches. We then served around 110 homeless people that came in to eat lunch. The work we did today felt, and was, super impactful and we were grateful to experience it.
