Meet the JMPC Staff

Senior Pastor
Rev. Jeff Tindall
​Pastor Jeff Tindall has served as Senior Pastor of John McMillan Presbyterian Church since 2014. He is born and raised a Pittsburgher having grown up in Pittsburgh’s south suburbs. Pastor Jeff is a graduate of Allegheny College., and Capital University Law School and Pittsburgh Theological Seminary. After graduating from PTS in 2007, Pastor Jeff was called to Carnegie Presbyterian Church where he served until he was called to be the Senior Pastor of John McMillan Presbyterian Church. Pastor Jeff also served as Stated Clerk of Pittsburgh Presbytery from 2012 to 2014. Jeff is a fitness enthusiast. Golf, tennis and skiing are a few of his favorite activities.

Associate Pastor
Rev. Samantha Coggins
Rev. Samantha Coggins is a Minister of Word & Sacrament in the PCUSA. She graduated in 2020 from Pittsburgh Theological Seminary with a Master of Divinity (M.Div.) degree. Originally from Fredericksburg, VA, Samantha has served church communities in New York City, Duquesne and the East End of Pittsburgh, and West Virginia. She is married to Joel, a book designer. They have a one-year-old daughter, Cosette (koh-sette), who is a constant joy and keeps them on their toes.

Office Manager
Leslie Bogdon
Our office manager, Leslie Bodgon, has been with us since 2017 and is an integral part of our team. She is always willing to go the extra mile and make sure things run smoothly. Her pleasant and helpful nature has made her a great asset to our church. She also loves horses, which is an added bonus.

Music Director
Carolyn Brow
Carolyn grew up in Columbus, Ohio and attended Otterbein University where she graduated with a degree in applied vocal music. She also studied vocal pedagogy at the Ohio State University. She taught voice and piano for 40 years and has directed choirs in Ohio, Indiana, Tennessee and Pennsylvania. She loves to sew and garden and leads the SHIM gardeners here at JMPC. Carolyn is married to Rick and they have 3 daughters and 5 grandchildren.

Director of Christian Education
Emily Shubilla
​Emily was born and raised in the Washington county area. She attended California University and earned a Bachelor of Science in Secondary English Education and a Bachelor of Arts in Language and Literacy. After subbing in area high schools, the need for a summer job brought Emily to childcare, which helped her develop the love of teaching younger children as well. She went back to school and got an Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education and a Director’s Credential. Emily worked in a childcare setting with most age groups and loves something about teaching children of any age. Around this time, Emily married her husband, James and then moved to Bethel Park. After a year as a childcare director, Emily became a stay-at-home mom to Leah and later, Jordan. Now she, James, Leah, Jordan, and their dog, Rudy, live in Venetia. Emily enjoys making memories with her family, the beach, reading, napping, crafting, and volunteering.

Preschool Director
Kim Doughty
For the past 20 years, Kim as lived in Peters Township with her husband and 4 children. She enjoys spending time with her family, taking walks with her dog, reading, traveling, baking, gardening, and connecting with friends.

She has been in the field of Education since graduating from college, and has gathered years of experience as both an Elementary and Preschool teacher, as well as a Director.

Organist
Elisabeth Jeffries
John McMillan Presbyterian Church is a place of worship that strives to serve our community and provide spiritual guidance. We are proud to have Elizabeth as our organist since 2001. She is an amazing and talented musician, an invaluable asset to our church. We are blessed to have her and she helps make our services truly special.
We invite you to join us on Sundays for worship and to experience the talents of Elizabeth as she works her magic on the organ.

Tech Team Lead
Jacqueline Druga
In 2021, we welcomed Jacqueline to our church family. Jacqueline is a graphic artist and brings her talents in live streaming, video, editing, and humor to our church. We are excited to have her join us and are looking forward to all the great work she will be doing.

AV Tech
Kay Zawicki
A recent addition is Kay, who has become a vital member of the team in 2021. She is talented, gungho, and always happy to help. In her spare time, Kay loves spending time with her niece and nephew.
