Mission Trip 2025 Day Three

Updated: Jul 10

Day 3- 1,078 families served.

Today our middle school group went to the St Vincent de Paul Food Distribution Center where they helped with the weekly food distribution for the community. It was a busy morning where 1,078 families total were served  their groceries for the week. Each volunteer was a part of a different part of the distribution assembly line.

Here’s their thoughts on the day and the impact being apart of it had in them:

Today we helped the people shop for snacks, perishable items, and produce. It was nice helping people because of how kind they were to us and to the staff and volunteers.

It really was amazing  to see how truly friendly everyone there, amongst the staff and community, was to us.

Today I helped by pulling carts to give the customers to get them started with their shopping through the distribution line. They were very nice and kind. It was great to see so many smiling faces.

Today, we helped people by distributing bananas, eggs, meat, chips, energy drinks, and other items. After that we put cans in a box. It felt good to be able to help and be a part of the process of it all.
