Nurturing the Covenant Community

NCC stands for Nurturing the Covenant Community. It is a Pillar of session that basically includes the fellowship of JMPC. We organize and serve the famous hot dog and chili luncheons, We organize Pot Luck Dinners, Family Game Nights, a Pirate Game Outing each year, a trip to a Play. We serve the confirmand dinner the night the confirmands give their statements of faith to Session. We keep the pantry stocked, we get volunteers for coffee hour, we assign the other Pillars and Deacons Kitchen Duty to clean the kitchen and pantry, and we are trying to do more with families of all ages.

“Love each other as I have loved you.” (John 15:12) The Deacons of John McMillan are attempting to live this out, even in the midst of a pandemic. We reach out to the members of our church family in happy times and sad, providing meals, cards, and prayers, so that every
individual feels valued and included.
