Pastor Jeff Tindall has served as Senior Pastor of John McMillan Presbyterian Church since 2014. He is born and raised a Pittsburgher having grown up in Pittsburgh’s south suburbs. Pastor Jeff is a graduate of Allegheny College., and Capital University Law School and Pittsburgh Theological Seminary.  After graduating from PTS in 2007, Pastor Jeff was called to Carnegie Presbyterian Church where he served until he was called to be the Senior Pastor of John McMillan Presbyterian Church. Pastor Jeff also served as Stated Clerk of Pittsburgh Presbytery from 2012 to 2014. Jeff is a fitness enthusiast. Golf, tennis and skiing are a few of his favorite activities.
 

Reverend Samantha Coggins

Associate Pastor

 

Samantha Coggins, née Lowery, graduated from Pittsburgh Theological Seminary (East Liberty/Highland Park neighborhood of Pittsburgh) in May 2020, with a Masters of Divinity degree. She was ordained in April 2021 as a campus minister in nearby Morgantown, WV, where she directed Presbyterian Student Fellowship for students in their late teens and early 20s attending West Virginia University. Samantha now lives in Mt. Lebanon with her husband, Joel, a book designer, and their 17-month-old daughter, Cosette (‘koh-sette’ – for the fans of Les Misérables out there), nicknamed Cozy.
 

 

Carolyn Brow, Music Director

Carolyn grew up in Columbus, Ohio and attended Otterbein University where she graduated with a degree in applied vocal music.  She also studied vocal pedagogy at the Ohio State University.  She taught voice and piano for 40 years and has directed choirs in Ohio, Indiana, Tennessee and Pennsylvania. She loves to sew and garden and leads the SHIM gardeners here at JMPC. Carolyn is married to Rick and they have 3 daughters and 5 grandchildren.

Emily Shubilla, Director of Christian Education

Emily was born and raised in the Washington county area. She attended California University and earned a Bachelor of Science in Secondary English Education and also a Bachelor of Arts in Language and Literacy. Emily worked in a childcare setting with most age groups and loves something about teaching children of any age. Around this time, Emily married her husband, James and then moved to Bethel Park. After a year as a childcare director, Emily became a stay-at-home mom to Leah and later, Jordan. Now she, James, Leah, Jordan, and their dog, Rudy, live in Venetia. Emily enjoys making memories with her family, the beach, reading, napping, crafting, and volunteering.

 
 

Elisabeth Jeffries, Organist

Elisabeth is the organist at JMPC since December 1992. Married to Randall Jeffries, she has resided in the Bower Hill Eighty-Four area all her life. Music has always been important having taught piano and organ lessons since high school. Presently she teaches out of her home and at JMPC Church. Other church jobs include organist at the Lutheran Church of our Redeemer at Crossgates McMurray for 5 years, and Choir Director/Organist at Thomas Presbyterian Church in Thomas for 28 years. Elisabeth also owns and operates Elisabeth’s Beauty Salon in her home. She loves working at JMPC, as the staff and congregation are extremely loving and caring.
 

Kim Doughty, Preschool Director

Kim, our Preschool Director, began as Director in July 2020 and is excited to be a part of the John McMillan Preschool team. Kim has lived in Peters Township for the past 20 years with her husband and four children. She enjoys spending time with her family, taking walks with her dog, reading, traveling, baking, gardening, and connecting with friends. She has been working in the field of Education since graduating from college, both as an Elementary and Preschool teacher and as a Director. Kim is thrilled to bring her passion for education to the children and families of John McMillan Preschool!

Leslie Bogdon, Office Manager

Leslie is originally from West View and now resides in Collier Township.  Leslie has two children Grace and Ryan along with her dog, Gunner and cat, Solomon.  Leslie is very active in the soccer community volunteering her time with Chartiers Valley Soccer Association and Pittsburgh Football Club.  She enjoys watching her children play soccer, camping, boating and spending any free time with her kids.

Jacqueline Druga, AV Tech Leader

Jacqueline is a newer member of staff at JMPC. She is leader of the audio/visual department. She resides in South Park. Is a mother of four, and grandmother to 10+. Jacqueline is also a musician, filmmaker and published author of over one hundred novels.
