Lenten Devotion 26 3.26.2020

Ephesians 4: 1-3
I therefore, a prisoner for the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called, 2 with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, 3 eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
God calls us to a life of patience, which is not always our greatest attribute. This can be especially true when we are confined to our homes. I have found myself losing patience with the people I love as we all stay in our house day after day. I am sure some of you may be feeling the same way. You may be feeling stuck with little to talk about day to day.
There is an old proverb that says, “Patience can break through iron doors.” Do we understand the power of patience in our lives? Do we see that patience is an amazing attribute? Patience is what God calls us to be, it is something to strive to be. It takes time, and it does not come overnight. Patience is so powerful, and it is what God wants for our lives. Let us start today, actively thinking about becoming more patient. Knowing it is not something to obtain, but a part of know we are called to be.
