Lenten Devotion 28 3.28.2020

Saint Ignatius was a Catholic priest and a very talented spiritual director in the 17 th century. Many of his styles of prayers and meditations are still used today. One of his practices is called the Ignatian examen, and it is one of my favorites. I want to share it with you today in hopes that it will be helpful in your prayer life. The following should be done every day; there is no time frame, it could be 5 minutes or an hour.
1. Become aware of God’s presence.
2. Review the day with gratitude.
3. Pay attention to your emotions.
4. Choose one feature of the day and pray from it.
5. Look toward tomorrow.
