One Great Hour of Sharing 2021

Sunday, April 4th, please take part in this annual special collection. A gift to OGHS enables the church to share God’s love with our neighbors-in-need around the world by providing relief to those affected by natural disasters, providing food to the hungry, and helping to empower the poor and oppressed.

Annual Meeting/Parking Lot Worship Returns

The agenda is for the congregation to receive the 2020 Annual Report and the 2021 Final Budget. The Report and Budget will be sent out via e-mail and mailed to those we know have no email. Please note that the service that day will be in the parking lot so that questions can be asked and answered during the meeting.
Worship in the Parking Lot Returns – We will return to worship in the parking lot on March 7th for the Congregational Annual Meeting. The worship team looks forward to seeing you!

2021 Lenten Sermon Series

“Strange Companions” Lenten Sermon Series
This year during Lent, JMPC will offer a series of sermons on the disciples of Jesus. We are calling them “strange companions” for a couple of reasons. First, some of them acted a bit strange at times. Think Peter at the Transfiguration or James and John arguing about who gets the best seat in eternity. Second, they were a strange group. Fishermen and tax collectors? Really? And they sometimes did not seem to be very bright when listening to Jesus. Finally, what about treachery and abandonment? We will explore as much of these topics as we can when we try to discover who these folks were.
Join us beginning on February 21.

Preschool Easter Sarris Fundraiser

Due to the current pandemic and low enrollment, this fundraiser is very important to our preschool. The preschool profits 35% of every order by the attached form or the website form.

We highly encourage you to order by the form. Orders will be sent to the church. Read more…

Souper Bowl Sunday

Souper Bowl: More than 20 years ago a youth group prayed before watching the Super Bowl that God make them mindful of those in the world without even a bowl of soup to eat. Out of that moment came the Souper Bowl of Caring. Each year on the day of the Super Bowl we are reminded of this by collecting a can of soup (or beans, or corn, etc.) and $1, so we can help feed the hungry people in our area. All proceeds will be given to SHIM (South Hills Interfaith Ministries) to use for their food pantry. Because we are not meeting for worship in person, we will collect your donations the same way we did for “Serving on the Stoop”. Please join us on February 7th in the Souper Bowl of Caring by leaving can(s) of food and/or your monetary donations (please place monetary donations in an envelope) on your stoop by 11am.
Contact the church office at to let us know you have a pickup by Friday, February 5th and we will pick up your donation. We will also have a box at the church on February 7th from 10am-11am if you wish to drop your donation there.
