Curriculum is designed to encourage growth in intellectual, social, emotional, spiritual and physical areas of development, and includes creative play, readiness experiences, science, story time, outdoor play, music, and art activities presented in a developmentally appropriate manner.  Weekly lesson plans are aligned with the Pennsylvania Learning Standards for Early Childhood.

Our Christian beliefs are expressed through Bible stories, songs, traditions and in the modeling of the love of God, self and others.

Classes begin in September and continue through May.

Classes are offered for Parent & Tot; 3 Year Olds; 4 Year Olds; Transition Class. (click on each class to get more information)

General Information

  • An outreach ministry of the John McMillan Presbyterian Church, JMPC Preschool is a non-profit organization.  Our Preschool Board, composed of parents and church members operates under the umbrella of the Christian Education Committee, which reports directly to the Session of JMPC.

  • Child's immunization must be current. Health forms are required.

  • Parent-Teacher Conferences are available throughout the year

  • Communication between school and home occurs verbally, through monthly newsletters, email, and our Parent Handbook.

  • We welcome parent involvement and encourage visitation by prospective preschool families.

  • Our experienced teachers are professionally trained college graduates who attend continuing education conferences and workshops each year.
