WORD

of the week

John McMillan Presbyterian Church is a medium sized church with approximately 470 members.

Our average Sunday attendance is 225 people at our two services combined.

We are a warm and friendly community of people

who come together to know, serve and glorify God.

We have traditional worship services on Sunday mornings.

We have a variety of education, fellowship, and outreach ministries to help us

grow in fellowship with each other and in faithfulness as disciples of Jesus Christ.

We have many young families at JMPC, and many members who have not grown up in churches.

We know that people are at different places on their spiritual journeys, and we welcome you,

wherever you are, to discover the love of God and new life as Christians.  We invite you to join us!

Church History

John McMillan Presbyterian Church began its ministry in the Bethel Park Area in October of 1966.

In 1965, Westminster Presbyterian and Pittsburgh Presbytery sponsored a pastor

to begin a church in southern Bethel Park.  The first service was September 1965

at William Penn School.  Ground breaking for the first building was February 1966.

Traditional worship, children/adult choirs, youth programs, preschool,

Bible studies and community outreach are offered.
